Glass Wool Moisture

[rank_math_breadcrumb]

Glass wool, often called fiberglass insulation, is a thermal and sound insulating material made from fibers of glass arranged into a texture that seems like wool. The advantages of glass wool are many:

R

Non-Combustible

R

Non-Toxic

R

Resistant to Corrosion

R

Low Weight by Volume

R

Low Thermal Conductivity

R

Stable Chemical Property

R

Low Moisture Absorption Rate

R

Fire Resistant

Control the Moisture During Glass Wool Moisture Production

Controlling glass wool moisture during the manufacturing process is critical.  It avoids costly delays, reworks, and waste. With the help of industry partners and 40 years of knowledge and experience, MoistTech has developed a glass wool moisture sensor that is ideally suited to measure the moisture levels during the manufacturing process.

This state-of-the-art moisture sensor is known as the IR-3000. Utilizing the IR-3000 to optimize process control improves your product quality, increases productivity, and decreases production costs.  It mounts safely above your production line and alerts you to fluctuations in your moisture levels that are out of tolerance. By measuring moisture continually through the production of fiberglass, proactive avoidance of moisture issues is accomplished.

MoistTech is very experienced with the glass wool moisture sensing requirements. Our sensor calibrations, measurement wavelengths, algorithms and sensor optical requirements are pre-set at the factory. Typical accuracy is about ±0.2% moisture. Typical analog range is 0-75% moisture. The outputs from the sensor can be easily adjusted to optimize PLC or recording requirements.
