Acetate Moisture
Like with any chemical, the temperature and moisture levels of acetate must be kept at an acceptable range to prevent an unstable chemical reaction.
When creating acetate, these same precautions must be kept a top concern. MoistTech’s IR–3000 Moisture Sensor will monitor the acetate moisture levels through each process to create a more profitable conveyor system.
The IR–3000 Moisture Sensor was created by our MoistTech team members who have 40 years of valuable experience.
Acetate Moisture Meter Installation
The MoistTech acetate moisture testing sensor should be mounted at least two inches above the conveyor. Mounting at this level will make certain the acetate creation is flawless from start to finish. To ease production, the manufacturer can position the sensor to adjust manually or automatically.
Environment
The acetate’s loose particles don’t create a long–lasting problem, but in dusty environments, we recommend installing the air purge system. The air purge system prohibits dust from building up on the sensor’s window.
Acetate Moisture Testing Benefits
- Shorter Start–up Times
- Reduced Waste
- Product Quality Improvement
- Lessened Energy Costs
- 100% Product Inspection
- Less Amount of Downtime
Here at MoistTech, we understand the requirements needed to successfully produce acetate. We pre-set our acetate moisture testing calibrations, measurement wavelengths, sensor optical requirements, and algorithms at the factory. Accuracy is typically about ±0.1% moisture. Typical analog range is 5–15% moisture. The outputs can be adjusted to optimize PLC or recording requirements.
